The InnoStar project has sustainability as a principal object, and aims to Sustainable Innovation “Level 4 (Disruptive)—Design for a sustainable society”. InnoStar will deliver a “first time right” methodology to enable faster development mmWave systems for 5G/6G that will include new simulation, test and validation tools within a seamless design flow.
InnoStar will focus on design/simulation/test methodologies to enable quicker and better manufacturing of antenna components for two important verticals in 5G/6G: telecommunications and automotive. The demonstrations from InnoStar will allow universal access to mobile communications able to be transferred into new applications in health, education, commerce, banking and community building. Universal access to mobile communication will be pivotal to improving the delivery of services within smart cities, transportation accessibility (autonomous vehicles, mobility-as-a-service), traffic flow, surveillance, and safety.
InnoStar will focus on developing new methods, algorithms, and tools for design/simulation/testing that can be used later on as commercial tools by all designers and manufacturers to create enhanced mmWave systems as part of a sustainable technology ecosystem.
